Welcome to the CFRM movement series presented by CFRM
In this video we will cover the Overhead Squat.
For a proper overhead squat to be executed we focus on the set up and points of performance.
In the setup, we want to have a wide grip on the bar (much like the pvc pass-through).
Next, we push our shoulders into the air to create stability of the load overhead.
Finally, we want our armpits to face forward in order to maintain the bar position throughout the movement.
We execute all the same points as the air squat with the addition of maintaining the overhead position.
During completion of the movement, we want to have the bar maintain its close position to the frontal plane. This allows for stability and proper technique throughout the movement.
